Our Story
Dreese Nature Designs began in 2006 with a simple passion for creating beautiful, handcrafted home décor. Originally founded in Pennsylvania, Shawn started by designing and manufacturing white birch home décor pieces, eventually opening a retail store in 2007 and expanding into wholesale across multiple states.
What began as a creative business quickly grew into something much more meaningful.
In 2019, life brought a major change as the business relocated from Pennsylvania to Florida. Shortly after, the world shifted during the pandemic—and so did our purpose.
During that time, Shawn faced a personal health battle after being diagnosed with lung damage from COVID-19. Living with COPD made something as simple as breathing at home a daily challenge. Through research, he discovered that many everyday home fragrance products—especially candles and air fresheners—contained harsh chemicals that could impact air quality.
That realization changed everything.
Determined to create a safer, cleaner alternative, Shawn began developing his own products—fragrances designed not only to smell beautiful, but to support a healthier environment in the spaces where we live, relax, and breathe.
With Maureen’s background in the beauty and wellness industry as an esthetician, their combined expertise came together naturally. Together, they began crafting products that focus on both quality and well-being—blending clean ingredients with thoughtfully designed scents.
In 2022, Dreese Nature Designs was reborn with a renewed mission: to create handcrafted soy blend candles, room sprays, and car scent diffusers that are both beautiful and mindful.
